Terms and conditions of sale

These terms apply to every booking of an Art of Wellness retreat: Becoming Her at Villa Lalie (Propriano), The Porto-Vecchio Edition and The Marrakech Edition. We wanted them to be clear: please take the time to read them before booking your place.

1. Who we are

In these terms, "we" means Art of Wellness and "you" means the participant booking her place.

2. The retreats

Becoming Her · The Propriano Edition: From Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 December 2026 (4 nights), at Villa Lalie, Olmeto (Corse-du-Sud, France), overlooking the Gulf of Valinco. 10 places.
The Porto-Vecchio Edition: From Wednesday 3 to Sunday 7 February 2027 (4 nights), in a private villa near Porto-Vecchio (Corse-du-Sud, France). 16 places.
The Marrakech Edition: From Monday 1 to Friday 5 March 2027 (4 nights), in a private villa on the outskirts of Marrakech (Morocco). 17 places.

The price includes what is described under "Included" on each retreat page: accommodation in the category you choose, the meals prepared by our private chef shown in the programme, the workshops and activities of the programme, airport transfers (arrival and departure) and transport during the retreat.

Becoming Her. Private room: a bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 cm), private bathroom, dressing and TV, for you alone. Shared room: two in a bedroom with a queen-size bed and private bathroom, or four in the quad room (a double bed and two single beds, with bathroom and WC on the same floor), depending on bookings.

Porto-Vecchio. Place in a double room: a room for two, with a 180 × 200 bed, private bathroom and private terrace. Place in the dormitory: a large shared room with two double beds and four single beds.

Marrakech. Seven bedrooms for seventeen places. They are allocated in advance, according to everyone's affinities and requests, and you are told your room before the retreat.

If you come on your own, we pair you with the participant or participants who suit you best.

Not included: your travel to the retreat (flights or ferry), your personal expenses, any services you add on site and your insurance, in particular travel and cancellation insurance. For The Marrakech Edition, meals and services marked "not included" or "on booking" on the retreat page are at your own expense.

Times and the order of activities are given for guidance. We may make minor changes (weather, availability of a practitioner, safety), replacing an activity with an equivalent one. These adjustments do not change the essential features of the retreat and do not give rise to a refund. For a significant change, article 8 applies.

You are responsible for having the documents you need to travel: a valid identity document and, for The Marrakech Edition, a passport valid for the whole stay. Please check the entry requirements for Morocco that apply to your nationality.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included, per person:

Becoming Her: €999 in a shared room and €1,888 in a private room at the early bird price, valid until 1 November 2026 inclusive. After that date, €1,444 and €2,222.
Porto-Vecchio: €1,333 for a place in a double room, €999 for a place in the dormitory.
Marrakech: €1,444 at the early bird price, for as long as it is offered on the website. After that, €1,888.

The applicable price is the one in force on the day your booking is confirmed.

4. Booking

You can send us a request through the website form, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp, including with the booking message prepared on each retreat page, which you send yourself from your own WhatsApp. A request does not commit you: we get back to you within 24 hours to answer your questions and agree on the payment terms.

Booking with our team. Before any payment, we email you a summary of your booking (retreat, room, price, payment schedule) together with these terms. The contract is concluded, and your place booked, when we receive your 30% deposit (see article 5). We then confirm your booking in writing.

Online deposit. On the retreat pages that offer it, you can also pay your 30% deposit directly. After leaving your details, choosing your room and ticking the box accepting these terms, you are taken to the secure payment page of our provider Stripe. The contract is concluded and your place booked as soon as your payment is validated, which is confirmed by email. We then get back to you to arrange payment of the balance.

Full payment online (Becoming Her). You can also pay the full price in one go (bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or in three instalments with Klarna, under Klarna's own terms. The contract is concluded and your place booked as soon as your payment is validated.

As places are limited, they are allocated in the order in which deposits and payments are received.

By booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

5. Payment

The first payment is a deposit of 30% of the price of your place: for example €299.70 for a place at €999, €399.90 for a place at €1,333 or €433.20 for a place at €1,444. It confirms your booking and commits us to each other.

The balance, i.e. 70% of the price, can be paid in one or several instalments. The number and dates of the instalments are agreed with you when you book and set out in the written confirmation. The full price must be paid before the retreat begins.

If an instalment is not paid on the agreed date, and after a reminder that remains unanswered for 7 days, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you: article 7 then applies.

6. Right of withdrawal

Each retreat is an accommodation and leisure service provided on a specific date. Under article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, it does not carry the 14-day right of withdrawal. The cancellation terms below apply from the moment you book.

7. If you cancel

Any cancellation must be sent to us in writing, by email to contact@byartofwellness.com. The date we receive your message is the date that counts.

Becoming Her: Up to 15 days before the retreat begins (17 November 2026 at the latest): we refund everything you have paid. After that, no refund is possible.
Porto-Vecchio: Up to 30 days before the retreat begins (4 January 2027 at the latest): we refund everything you have paid. After that, no refund is possible.
Marrakech: Up to 15 days before the retreat begins (14 February 2027 at the latest): we refund everything you have paid. After that, no refund is possible.

Refunds are made within 14 days, using the payment method you used. After these deadlines, the sums paid are retained: they correspond to costs we have already committed and can no longer recover (villa, chef, practitioners, purchases). If exceptional and unavoidable circumstances at the retreat location prevent it from taking place, article 8 applies and you are refunded in full.

Late arrival, early departure, missing some activities or not showing up does not give rise to any refund, even partial.

Rather than cancelling, you can transfer your place to someone else. Simply let us know in writing at least 7 days before the retreat begins, giving their name and contact details. The transfer is free and the person replacing you accepts these terms.

To protect yourself against the unexpected (illness, accident, being unable to travel), we strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

8. If we cancel or change the retreat

If we have to cancel a retreat, in particular due to force majeure (a weather, health or administrative event preventing it from taking place) or if the venue becomes unavailable, we refund everything you have paid within 14 days. Where possible, we will also offer to move your place to another date; this is always your choice.

Each retreat goes ahead with a minimum of 4 participants. If this minimum is not reached, we may cancel it by notifying you in writing at least 7 days before it begins (25 November 2026 for Becoming Her, 27 January 2027 for Porto-Vecchio, 22 February 2027 for Marrakech); you are then refunded in full, on the same terms.

If an essential element of the retreat has to change (dates or location), we will let you know as soon as possible and you can either accept the change or cancel and be refunded in full.

As your travel costs are not included in the retreat, we do not refund your plane or ferry tickets. We recommend booking flexible or refundable tickets.

9. Health and wellbeing

The workshops, treatments and activities offered (Pilates, yoga, breathwork, massages, treatments, thermal baths, cold plunge…) are wellbeing practices and never replace medical advice or treatment.

By booking, you confirm that you are able to take part in gentle physical activities. You agree to tell us before the retreat about any pregnancy, allergy (including food allergies), injury or relevant health condition, so that we can adapt what can be adapted. If in doubt, ask your doctor. You are always free not to take part in an activity.

10. On site

We count on everyone to preserve the caring spirit of the retreat and to respect the villa, its rules and the neighbours. You are responsible for any damage you cause to the venue or equipment. Behaviour that endangers the group or seriously disrupts the retreat may lead to your exclusion, without refund.

You remain responsible for your personal belongings. We recommend that you are covered by personal liability insurance, which is usually included in home insurance.

11. Liability

You take part in the retreat and each of its activities under your own responsibility, freely choosing what you do and at what pace.

Art of Wellness is responsible for the proper performance of the services provided for in these terms. However, it cannot be held liable for damage, injury, accidents, loss or theft that are not attributable to it, in particular when they are due to:

your own behaviour, carelessness or failure to follow the instructions given;
a health condition, allergy or contraindication that you did not tell us about;
your personal activities or travel outside the programme;
the actions of another participant or of a person outside the retreat;
force majeure (weather or health events, strikes, etc.).

The providers who take part in the retreat (chef, practitioners, coaches, treatment venues, excursion organisers, transport companies) are independent professionals covered by their own professional liability insurance. You must follow their instructions and the rules of the places where they welcome you.

Your travel to and from the retreat is not organised by us: we are not responsible for delays, cancellations or costs relating to your flights or ferries, nor for their consequences on your participation.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law guarantees you as a consumer.

12. Photos and videos

Photos and videos may be taken during the retreat as memories for the group and for Art of Wellness communications. We will not publish any image in which you can be recognised without your consent, which we will ask for on site. You can refuse at any time.

13. Your personal data

The information you give us is used only to manage your booking and your stay. Everything is explained in our privacy policy.

14. Complaints and disputes

For any complaint, write to us at contact@byartofwellness.com: we reply within 7 days and will do everything we can to find an amicable solution.

Failing agreement, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge, whose details we will give you on request.

These terms are governed by French law, including for The Marrakech Edition. In the event of a persistent dispute, the French courts have jurisdiction.
